Gwenda Registered Nurse
Gwenda is a Registered Nurse with over 40 years of extensive experience, including more than 15 years in occupational health. Her career spans a diverse range of community-based settings, encompassing roles such as rural public health nurse, ACC case management, district nursing, palliative care, practice nursing, needs assessment coordination, and the management of post-discharge services. Gwenda is dedicated to serving individuals within their communities and workplaces and is committed to continuous professional development through self-directed learning.
Deb Lovett Financial Administrator
Debbie Lovett serves as our dedicated Financial Administrator and administrative lead, ensuring the seamless operation of our services. She has been instrumental in the growth and enhancement of Industry Med's core systems and customer engagement strategies. Leveraging extensive local knowledge and over three years of experience at our mill clinic, Debbie also draws upon a distinguished career at the Tasman mill site, spanning many years.
Jazmine Business Administrator
Jazmine possesses nearly 10 years of administrative expertise, including 5 years of professional experience in Australia before returning to her hometown of Kawerau. Her background includes roles as a medical receptionist in Whakatane and a two-year period in Mental Health Support. Following the birth of her first child, Jazmine joined our team as the Business Administrator at the Kawerau clinic and has recently completed training in urine drug testing procedures.

Dr. Misty Hunter
A Fellow of the Royal College of GPs, Dr. Hunter specializes in women's health, forensic medicine, and occupational medicine. She brings extensive expertise in facilitating back-to-work planning and addressing rural/Māori health needs.
Dr. Cheyenne Heka
MBChB, FRNZCUC (Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Pāhauwera). Dr. Heka completed her medical training at the University of Otago and possesses comprehensive expertise in Urgent Care, General Practice, and Occupational Health.
Dr. Gardiner is an alumna of the University of Auckland Medical School, holding Bachelor's Degrees in Health Science (Public Health) and Medicine & Surgery, alongside a Diploma in Paediatrics—all completed at the University of Auckland. She has furthered her education with postgraduate studies in Māori health and is currently studying the Māori language. Dr. Gardiner holds a fellowship to the Royal NZ College of Urgent Care and has earned the Certificate of Occupational Medicine from Monash University. With seven years of dedicated service in occupational clinics within heavy industries, complemented by prior roles in Urgent Care and General Practice in Whakatane and Opotiki, Sarah values the diverse medical challenges encountered daily.

Dr Peter Breakey
General Practitioner with special interest in Occupational Medicine
Dr. Breakey achieved Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) in 2022. He holds a strong interest in occupational medicine, leveraging his broad medical experience to assess and support employee health, including comprehensive return-to-work planning.

Dr. Sarah Gardiner
Originating from her grandmother's farm in Moerewa, Northland, Dr. Sarah Gardiner successfully gained admission to Auckland University Medical School. As a fully qualified physician, she now spearheads Industry Med, balancing her leadership role with being a full-time mother to three tamariki. Her profound dedication to the innovative workplace clinic model stems from the satisfaction of ensuring her patients return home safely each day.
Paora Gardiner
A native of Tauranga, Paora Gardiner is the kaihautū (guiding force) behind Industry Med. An alumnus of Tauranga Boys' College and Waikato University, he contributes extensive experience across the social sector, health and safety.
